Pot 14cm: Alocasia micholitziana 'Green Velvet' is the most widely grown cultivar of Alocasia micholitziana, characterised by prominent white veins against a dark green velvet adaxial (upper) leaf surface and strikes of white.
LIGHT:
She thrives in bright indirect light. Place her near a window where she can receive filtered sunlight. Avoid direct sunlight, as she can scorch the leaves. Insufficient light may result in stunted growth and loss of colour vibrancy.
WATERING:
Water the Alocasia thoroughly when the top inch of the soil feels dry. Ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogging, as it can lead to root rot. It is better to underwater than overwater, as the plant is susceptible to root rot. Adjust the watering frequency based on the humidity levels and the season. Bottom watering is highly recommended.
