Begonia maculata, also known as Polka Dot begonia, comes from Southeast Brazil, where it makes its home in rainforests. If the striking leaves were not enough, they also grows little white flowers in spring and summer. You can help it produce them by giving it a monthly feed in the summer months.
Polka Dot can store water for some time which means it does not require constant attention, usually every 2-3 weeks. This plant can certainly thrive on neglect, the odd missed watering and will tolerate minimal light. If you like a plant that’s easy-going and sculptural this ones the one for you.
*Pot size 12cm. Toxic to pets.*
