A remarkable plant that, in our opinion, resembles the mandrake plants from the Harry Potter series!

This plant has amazing swollen roots that stand above the soil and pot then on top, there is a mass of glossy, smooth, deep green oval leaves on short stems.

*Pot size 12cm. Toxic to pets.*

Did you know?

Ficus plants are one of the most popular plants for beginners to bonsai.

Watering

Dependent on home conditions, pot size and season. You must be diligent in ensuring that this plant does not dry out, but is also not overwatered. The soil should be damp, but not sopping wet, before watering. To water this plant, place the plant (along with the the ceramic pot) in to a bowl of water, allowing the water to bubble. When the bubbles stop rising, the plant has absorbed what it needs and can be removed from the water.

Lighting

Ficus Ginseng should be kept in full sun in the spring and autumn, with the exception of extreme spikes in temperature. During the summer, or any unexpected high temperatures, it should be placed in semi-shade. Otherwise, the leaves will become dehydrated and burn.

Note: When purchasing plants please consider that each live item is unique and may therefore differ from the images shown, which are for illustration purposes only. Depending on season, some plants may be pruned back to encourage growth and deciduous plants may arrive without leaves. Collections or 'mixed' listings for plants will be selected dependant on availability and carefully hand-picked to ensure their quality.
