Peace lily, Spathiphyllum wallisii, is a popular, low maintenance house plant with glossy green leaves and white flowers, called spathes. Native to central America, it’s used to a warm, humid environment and is perfect for growing in a bright bathroom. Peace lilies are easy to grow and relatively trouble-free.
It’s thought it was brought to Europe some time in the late 1800s and it's adapted well to the UK’s less than tropical conditions.
Watering
Check Lily for watering once a week and if the soil is dry or at least 70% of the soil is dry give it a watering. She’s pretty tough and will usually bounce back from a missed watering. She will certainly let you know when she wants watering, she will dramatically droop, once watered it will bounce right back.
Lighting
She’s easy when it comes to light, managing in most conditions, though she’ll flower more in a brighter spot. Never expose to direct sunlight.
