As you may have guessed from its love of steamy conditions, the peace lily is native to tropical rainforests, specifically those of South and Central America. It’s thought it was brought to Europe some time in the late 1800s and it's adapted well to the UK’s less than tropical conditions.
Extremely toxic to pets so please be careful if purchasing and you own pets.
Watering:
Ensure you water regularly usually when the top 2 inches of soil is dry. Peace Lilys can be dramatic if watering is missed and will start to wilt, once watered it should recover if watering is missed.
Lighting:
Happy in most light conditions other than direct sunlight.
Did you know?
In the Chinese art of feng shui, the peace lily is considered an aura purifier. So if your aura is feeling particularly spotless after buying one, that’s why.
